Zuras seems gruff at times, but he’s after the best for everyone.
As Prime Eternal, Zuras is responsible for his people.



The youngest son of Sargon, Zuras, with his brothers Alars and Lucifer, initated the formation of the Eternals first Uni-Mind after their father was killed by the Stranger. Zuras was chosen to be the new Prime Eternal, but his brothers immediately rejected the decision they’d reached as part of the Uni-Mind and stole the Eternals’ only spaceship to pursue the Stranger, killing other Eternals in the process.

Zuras has ruled the Eternals since ancient times, continuing his father’s policy of peaceful co-existence with the other races of Earth. Under Zuras’ leadership, the Eternals helped early human civilizations discover writing, mathematics, law, and agriculture.

Zuras has done everything; he lives life to the fullest, and loves to regale listeners with stories of his exploits (along with famous people). He’s hunted whales, raced the Iditarod, run the bulls (according to him, he chased them), played guitar with Willie Nelson, been a lumberjack and circus roustabout (where he met Hawkeye), had folk songs written about his beard, played professional poker, and was in the astronaut corps. He’s also an inveterate womanizer, and the life of the party.


Today, Zuras is a director of Millennium Finance, a multinational financial concern that is also a cover for Eternal interests.

Zuras is one of, if not the most powerful cosmic energy manipulator of the Eternals. He is stronger and faster than most, and a more powerful telepath, but has not devoted time to mastering the subtleties of any of his powers.
