Sue feels a responsibility to use her powers for good, but most of her motivation to adventure comes from making sure Reed, Ben, and Johnny don’t get themselves killed.

With the rest of the Fantastic Four, her son Franklin and daughter Valeria, and Namor; she’s friends with the Wasp and She-Hulk as well.

Background

Sue helped fund Reed’s rocket experiment, and insisted on going along with her newfound love on the first flight. It took her some time after that to find herself; she was a model and actress, and wooed by Namor, prince of Atlantis, before finally marrying Reed and settling into her role as a full-time member of the Fantastic Four, in part prompted by the discovery of her force field powers.

Sue runs the practical side of Fantastic Four, Inc., as well as keeping her family from killing one another or causing multi-million dollar lawsuits with their roughhousing.

Powers & Abilities

Sue is the archetype of the barrier warrior; while she’s learned a number of offensive ways to use her force field, it’s as a defense for herself and others that she most commonly employs it. She will use Extra Effort to strengthen it further, even to the point of Exhausting or Incapacitating herself in the effort.

Sue has the reputation now of being the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four, and she certainly has the most varied uses of her powers. However, she can’t hit both offensive and defensive PL caps at the same time.
